Description

Apostle
The Apostle will run the meetings and organize events, making sure that everyone knows what they need to about the events, and that someone will be there to cover an event. For example, the Apostle would make sure that someone would pick up coats for the Coat Drive after the 12:05 mass, or that someone will be there to give them out after every mass. The Apostle's job can be summed up with this:

  • Sign-ins (making sure everyone signs in a meetings)
  • Sign-ups(for activities, that people will pick up coats, be at the activities, etc.)
  • Announcements about activities in church (making sure someone can announce an activity at each mass, if needed)
  • Living stations coordinator (everyone in the youth group needs to be informed about living stations, and the Apostle can do this.)

Disciple

The Disciple's job is similar to the Apostle's job. The Disciple will be there to help the Apostle at every event. An additional task of the Disciple is to inform the ITC(Internet Technician Committee) of everything that should be put on the website. The Disciple will make sure that someone signs up to bring in snacks for the rest of the youth group. The Disciple's job can be summed up with this:

  • Sign-ups for bring in snacks to the meeting
  • ITC updates, so the ITC knows what to update on the website.
  • Bulletin updates (the Disciple will work with Mr. Scheirer to see what needs to be added into the weekly bulletin, and the Disciple will contact the people to make changes to the youth section of the bulletin.)

Scribe

The Scribe has the job of writing down all the ideas that are announced at the meeting and organizing them all in an agenda. The Scribe should write down general topics and specific parts about each topic that the youth group talks about during a meeting. If the Scribe is not present at every meeting, then the Disciple or Apostle will take over this job. The Scribe will tend to organize the papers collected like permission slips, etc. The Scribe's job can be summed up with this:

  • Agenda (Kris will explain what needs to be done to make one. This takes time and dedication to do, and some good English will help as well.)
  • Sign-ups (permission slips for activities like The Life March, etc. The Scribe will give them out and collect them for Mr. Scheirer.)

Lector

The lector is seen as a trustee, and will take up any job that is required at the time.
